Sing Along with Glenn Pearson & Special Guests from Washington Stages

Washington, DC –“showTunes & Cocktails at The Jefferson,” a musical and holiday sing-along, will make its debut Tuesday, December 14 from 7-10 pm in Quill Bar at The Jefferson, Washington DC.

showTunes & Cocktails at The Jefferson presented by The Helen Hayes Awards is a partnership born from a mutual desire to welcome both residents and visitors to the storied hotel by embracing this very popular and enjoyable entertainment - while showing off – just a little - the wealth of theatrical talent in the Washington area . . . and to have a terrific time.

In a setting both sophisticated yet casual, the evening will also star specialty cocktails and featured appetizers, with The Jefferson generously donating 20% of the proceeds to support the year-round audience building efforts of the Helen Hayes organization.

Orchestra leader Glenn Pearson, a mainstay of Washington’s social scene (and a Helen Hayes Board member), will utilize his versatile talents and vast repertoire of theatre music to encourage everyone in attendance to shed their inhibitions, connect with their inner diva, and belt out some tunes with other theatre lovers and theatre makers.

“For many years, following our annual October benefit, several guests stayed and broke into an impromptu gathering to sing show tunes around the piano with Glenn,” said Linda Levy Grossman, Helen Hayes Awards President & CEO.” Now it’s become a signature part of the evening. We’re thrilled to collaborate with the Jefferson to infuse it with some distinctive Washington theatricality and together, to usher in the holidays with such joyful sounds.”
