Keegan Theatre’s Boiler Room Series continues on Sun, July 8 at 3pm or 7:30pm for a special Boiler Maker event: Plays at the Boiling Point – New Voices Sampler Festival. If you missed any of their new works staged readings this season, the new voices festival is your chance to get a taste of all the new play development work that Keegan’s Boiler Room Series has been up to in its inaugural year. Selected scenes will be fully staged and presented as part of the festival, and we’ll feature a post-show discussion with all 5 playwrights. Tickets $20

LiveArtDC presents their 5TH ANNUAL 24 Hour Playmaking Fundraiser Event, LiveArt in a Day June 16 7-10pm. On Friday, the 5 playwrights will each be randomly assigned a director, 5 actors, a prop, and a DC Metro themed element. Then they have until Saturday morning to turn around a script, then the shows hit the stage at Source Theatre. GENERAL ADMISSION – $25 plus other ways to support and get some extras

Thanks to the Embassy of Canada in Washington DC, Spooky Action Theater is offering a special Canadian night in conjunction with its production of The Small Room at the Top of the Stairs by Canadian playwright Carole Fréchette. Saturday, June 2 at 7pm they'll host a FREE wine tasting, highlighting celebrated wineries from the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia and the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario. After toasting with them, you can get a ticket to see the play too.

Save the dates for Pay What You Will nights for "Botticelli in the Fire" May 28 & 29 at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, the final show in their 2017-2018 Season. Pay What You Will tickets are sold online through the TodayTix app and website. PWYW tickets previously were sold in-person at the theater, but they've moved to online sales to make these performances even more accessible.
